Troy Welcomes Louisiana, Aims for Fifth Straight Home Win

GAME NOTES

TROY, Alabama – Troy looks to win its fifth consecutive home game and 11th straight at home in Sun Belt Conference play as Louisiana visits Trojan Arena Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Trojans (15-3, 6-1) dominated ULM from start to finish in a 78-56 win on Thursday. Kayla Robinson led the way with 20 points, while Sky'Lynn Holmes posted a game-high 16 rebounds. ULM entered the game with the Sun Belt's top defense (57.8 ppg), but were doomed by Troy's 53 percent fourth quarter performance. The Trojans also recorded a season-high 10 blocks in the game.

In a rematch of the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship game, Troy looks to win its fourth straight over Louisiana.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Sophomore center Ty'Reona Doucet finished with a game-high 23 points, but the strong effort was not enough as Louisiana fell to South Alabama, 83-60, Thursday morning.

Docuet's 23 points was the fifth time this season that Doucet has scored at least 20 points in a game, and second time she has done so in conference play, finishing 9-for-13 from the field in the game. Doucet added six rebounds, while sophomore guard Skyler Goodwin added six rebounds of her own to lead Louisiana on the boards in the game.

Louisiana dropped nine straight games before going on a three-game winning streak in Sun Belt Conference play defeating Georgia Southern, Georgia State and ULM at home before Thursday's loss.

NOTEWORTHY
• Kayla Robinson posted her second 20-point performance of the season in Thursday win over ULM. Robinson has scored 20-plus points in a game eight times in her career.

• This season at home, Troy has outscored its opponents by an average of 21.0 points and out-rebounded teams by 17.0 per game.
