Quotable - Troy director Marc Davis
"The weather left a lot to be desired this weekend at ECU. Friday was very good good weather as expected, and we had some good performances come out of the day. Riley Schwietz had the performance of the day with a PR and a win in the Javelin. On Saturday, we had to go way out of comfort zone and deal with rainy and cool conditions. For the most part, we did a very good job executing races. We came away with good placing and our scores reflected that. In our last two relays, the 4x4's we showed grit and came away with wins on both sides. We showed promise and have some momentum going into the toughest part of the season."
Notable
• Five returning Trojans have NCAA postseason experience entering this year. Junior Hakim Montgomery has earned a trip in each of his first two seasons.
Â
• Troy indoor track and field placed fifth at the conference championships in February, tying for the highest finish in program history – finished fifth twice before.
Â
• No days off. The Trojans will compete in at least one meet each weekend from now until the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships in San Marcos, Texas, May 11-13.
