Â
AUBURN, Alabama – Two outdoor school records and eight personal-bests were broken as Troy competed at the Tiger Track Classic this weekend.
Â
Senior Riley Schwietz set a new all-time heptathlon record by recording 5,131 points in the multi event – the previous record was 5,049 set by Juzil Rudolph in 2007. Schwietz also set personal-bests in the high jump with a 1.53-meter leap and in the shot put with an 11.81-meter toss.
Â
The Trojans' women's 4x400-meter relay team – comprised of Precious Ogba, Tiarra Bailey, Alexandria Rankin and Madison Kennedy – set themselves atop the school record list with a 3:43.91 time to finish third at the meet.
Â
Titus Sizemore high jumped his way to a personal-best and fell just .02 meters shy of a new school record, as well. He leaped to 2.14 meters and was a runner-up at this weekend's meet.
Â
On the women's side, Gabrielle Henderson and Sydney Henderson shattered their personal records in the 100-meter dash and 100-meter hurdles, respectively. Three members of the men's team also did so – Kewin Delis in the 100-meter plus Jared Hayes and Cameron Rice in the 200-meter.
Â
Troy will make a return trip to Auburn this weekend to compete in the War Eagle Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Quotable – Troy director Marc Davis
"We had a very solid effort this week. It started with the heptathlon, where Riley (Schwietz) started off strong. The great thing about this team is that we are getting great performances by our young stars. Freshman Jared Hayes, again ran a great race. Sophomore Titus Sizemore continued to improve in the high jump. Freshman Kewin Delis is surprising many by how quickly he is improving. The women's 4x400 relay team is comprised of three freshmen and a junior. Right now, we have it going in a positive direction on what seems to be a week to week basis. We have a long way to go to be a championship team, but can get there if they continue to work hard day to day.Â
Â
Notable
• Riley Schwietz has been on fire as of late, winning her first collegiate event last weekend and breaking the school record in the heptathlon this weekend.
Â
• Five returning Trojans have NCAA postseason experience entering this year. Junior Hakim Montgomery has earned a trip in each of his first two seasons.
Â
• Troy indoor track and field placed fifth at the conference championships in February, tying for the highest finish in program history – finished fifth twice before.
Â
• No days off. The Trojans will compete in at least one meet each weekend from March 16 until the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships in San Marcos, Texas, May 11-13.
