Winning Streak Ends At William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.– The finale of Troy's five-game road stretch ended with a thud as the Trojans four-match winning streak was ended following a 4-0 shutout loss to William & Mary on Sunday.
In the winning streak, Troy (9-9) had recorded two shutouts in two of the wins and held Coastal Carolina and USC-Spartanburg to one point in the other two. That trend was reversed by William & Mary as Troy fell back to .500 with the loss.
Little went the Trojans way as the Tribe (9-6) won two of three doubles matches with an identical score of 6-2 and held Troy to two sets in all three singles wins with three of the singles losses coming in shutout fashion.
Mustapha Belcora was the recipient of two of three shutouts as he fell 6-0 in straight sets while Jiaqi Duan was defeated by a narrow 6-4 margin in both of his singles losses.
