TROY, Ala.- The Troy women's tennis team (0-5) hosted ULM (4-3) in its first home match of the season on Friday at the Lunsford Tennis Complex. The Warhawks defeated the Trojans last season in the Sun Belt Conference quarterfinals and went on to win the title.

Efriliya Herlina and Jiayuan Xue continued their dominate winning streak on the doubles court with a 6-4 win over ULM on court two to improve to 10-1 on the year. However, the Warhawks picked up wins on courts one and three to take the early doubles point.

In singles play, Herlina earned her second win of the day with a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Teodora Radu on court two. Freshman Pei Ju Hsieh bounced back after a dropping a few matches last weekend to defeat Clara Rizea 7-6, 3-0 as the match was retired.

Senior Nancy Karaky got off to a solid start getting the set one 6-4 win, but her opponent rallied back winning back-to-back sets 6-3, 6-3 to earn the point.

Troy will be back in action on Sunday as the Trojans host UNF at 10 a.m.
