Oxford, MISS. – Troy men's tennis will kick off the 2018 spring schedule in hopes of another Sun Belt title with a trip west to take on Southeastern Conference member Ole Miss at 4 p.m.
Â
It will be the first action for head coach Scott Kidd's crew since participating in the CCB Collegiate Invitational on Nov. 12 to conclude the fall season. It was one of five fall tournaments the Trojans took part in.
Â
This season's crew is one with many fresh faces as there are six freshman on the roster and five sophomores. Troy's leadership will come in the form of seniors Andy Lau and Mustapha Belcora.
Â
Lau has been a force on the court throughout his time as a Trojan as he has been named to the All-Sun Belt doubles team twice and All-Sun Belt singles team once. He was one of six players who recorded at least four singles wins in fall play.
Â
Troy will be on the road for nearly two months to begin the 2018 season with trips to North Florida, Elon, Southern Miss, Lamar, FAMU and Steston on the docket before opening up at home on March 2 against Bethune-Cookman.
