Three Trojans in Top 10; Troy Seventh at Augusta Invitational

AUGUSTA, Georgia – Three Trojans are in the top 10 and the Troy women's golf team is in seventh place overall – just a shot out of fourth place – following Saturday's second round of the 3M Augusta Invitational at the Forest Hills Golf Club. The Trojans shot a 10-over 298 for the second straight day.
Bianca Lohbauer and Fátima Fernández Cano both fired rounds of even par on Saturday and are tied for seventh and ninth, respectively. Lohbauer opened her round with 10 straight pars before a bogey on No. 11; however, she answered with a birdie on No. 17 to move back even. Cano's round was much more eventful with five birdies, five bogeys and eight pars.
Troy's opening round leader Gabi Oubre', had one birdie on the day and eventually finished with a 2-over 74 to sit tied with Cano for ninth place overall heading into Sunday's final round. Becca Horner carded three birdies in her round and she shot 9-over on the day, while Bria Jansen shot an 8-over.
No. 23 Purdue and No. 33 Tennessee are tied for the team lead with an eight-shot advantage over Memphis. Troy leads Ole Miss by three shots and Sun Belt Conference front-runner, Coastal Carolina, by 24 strokes heading into the final round.
Troy will play the final round with Ole Miss and Kennesaw State with a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. (CT) on the eighth hole.
