Women’s Golf Heads to 3M Augusta Invitational

TROY, Alabama – After cracking the top 100 nationally, the Troy women's golf team travels to the 3M Augusta Invitational at the Forest Hills Golf Course. The 14-team field features 11 teams ranked among the top 100 in the country and three in the top 50; teams will play 18 holes each day on Friday through Sunday.
Troy is coming off a 10th-place finish at the Gator Invitational where the Trojans picked up victories over a trio of top-100 teams, including No. 44 Wisconsin.
Senior Gabi Oubre' led the Trojans at the Gator as she tied for 18th place overall following rounds of 73 and 70 on the par 70 course to close out the weekend. She enters this weekend's event with a +4.67 score vs. par on the season.
Fátima Fernández Cano will be looking to bounce back from a tough spring opener; however, she leads the Trojans with a +1.73 score vs. par, four top-25 finishes and three rounds under par this season.
Head coach Bart Barnes will also call up Becca Horner, who has been steady all season and enters the 3M Augusta Invitational with a +4.40 score vs. par on the season; the second best on the team. Sophomore Bianca Lohbauer tied for 30th at the Gator and carries a +4.47 score vs. par, while Bria Jansen will make her second straight appearance for the Trojans.
