Daytona Beach, Florida -- It was a small field at the Juan Varon Memorial Invitational, but Troy sent two on to the finals in singles play.
Ignacio Rodriguez won twice on Saturday as he took his first match 6-3, 6-1 and then followed that up with a 6-2, 6-1 win to move on to the final round. Following in his footsteps was sophomore Shaaz Peerani who also had a 6-3, 6-1 win.
Neither of those two had success in doubles, however, as Rodriguez and Sam Bird fell 6-2 and Peerani and Chris Tasker were defeated 6-3.
