Troy Men’s Tennis Continues Tough Schedule

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's tennis team continues its tough early season schedule this weekend with road matches at No. 56 Auburn and No. 63 Alabama. Troy takes on Auburn at 2 p.m. on Friday before facing Alabama at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Troy (1-6) has played a ranked team in all but one match this season, and every match has played away from home. After losses last weekend at Miami and No. 29 Florida State, Troy fell out of the ITA National Team Rankings for the first time in nearly a year.

Pablo Moreno has led the Trojans with three singles victories this spring, while Daniel Bustamante has the highest ranked win, beating No. 23 Piotr Lomacki of Miami last weekend.

Auburn (3-1) hasn't played since two weeks ago when it lost to Wake Forest and beat Cal Poly at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. Alabama (5-2) also lost at Florida State last weekend, and will host Oklahoma on Friday before welcoming Troy to town on Sunday.

After this weekend's road matches, the Trojans will return to the road next Friday and Saturday at Winthrop and NC State.
