Troy Soccer Travels to Alabama for First Road Match

TROY, Alabama – The Troy soccer team travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the first road match of the season against Alabama on Sunday night at 7 p.m. at Alabama Soccer Stadium.

Troy (1-0) comes into the contest after a 2-0 win at home against Gardner-Webb that saw a record-breaking attendance. Abby Reynolds scored twice and Mikki Lewis posted her 12th career shutout in Friday night's season opener. Kirsten Rendall and Brooke McKee assisted on the Trojans' two goals.

Troy, who is in the midst of playing three games in five days, was picked to finish second in the Sun Belt and had four Preseason All-Sun Belt selections.

Alabama (0-1) opened its season with a 1-0 loss at Memphis on Friday night. Troy and Alabama haven't faced each other since 2005 with Alabama leading the series 3-0.
