Troy Soccer Set For Final Exhibition Match Against Murray State

MURRAY, Kentucky – The Troy soccer team is set to play its final exhibition game against Murray State on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Cutchen Field.

Coming off a 2-1 loss in their first exhibition match at No. 8 Florida, the Trojans returning leading scorer, Alissa Jones gave the Trojans the lead in the 46th minute. However, the Gators were able to put two in the back of the net to take the victory.

The Trojans finished 2014 with a 16-6 overall record, best in program history. Troy's season ended with 21 individual and team records falling, including the school's wins, shutouts and shots records as well as the single-season and single-game attendance records.

Saturday's preseason match against the Racers will be streamed live and will have live stats available.

The regular season will begin on Friday, August 21 at 7 p.m. as Troy faces Gardner-Webb at Troy Soccer Complex.
