Troy Returns Home to Host Samford on Wednesday

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's tennis team will play the first of two home matches to close the regular season on Wednesday when the Trojans host Samford at the Lunsford Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
Troy (8-8) is coming off of a 5-2 win over Appalachian State last Friday and will be looking to remain unbeaten at home where they are 4-0 this season. In fact, the Trojans have won eight straight home matches dating back to last season.
The Trojans are led by junior Trang Huynh who enters with a 13-3 singles record and a 12-2 doubles record. Huynh has won 10 straight singles matches at the No. 1 spot in the Troy lineup.
Samford (10-7) has won five straight matches and hasn't lost since a March 13 defeat at home against Tulane. The Bulldogs feature a doubles team in Carita Moolman and Stephanie N'tchta who are 11-4 on the season and ranked No. 83 in the ITA National Doubles Rankings.
Following Wednesday's match the Trojans will close their regular season when they host Florida A&M on Sunday with Senior Day ceremonies starting at 12 p.m. Troy will then travel to the Sun Belt Championships in New Orleans, which begin on Thursday, April 16.
