Men's Tennis Faces Busy Weekend, First Sun Belt Match

DALLAS, Texas – For the second straight weekend, the Troy men's tennis team will play three matches in two days. The Trojans will first take on SMU and Abilene Christian on Saturday, at SMU. Troy will then travel across town to face Sun Belt for UT Arlington on Sunday.
Troy and SMU will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday while Troy and Abilene Christian will get under way at 4 p.m. The Trojans and Mavericks will play at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Troy (1-2) opened the season last weekend with a win over Florida A&M and losses to No. 13 Florida and No. 35 Florida State. Gabriel Dais highlighted the weekend as he defeated Florida's Maxx Lipman, the nation's 34th-ranked singles player.
SMU (1-0) defeated UC Santa Barbara at home on Monday to open its season. Abilene Christian will be playing its first match of the season. UT Arlington (1-0) opened with a home win over Incarnate Word last Saturday.
