TROY, Alabama – Troy Athletics recognized 183 student-athletes at Wednesday's volleyball game for their academic excellence in the Spring 2014 semester, including 50 student-athletes who posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average.

Overall, 98 Troy student-athletes posted a 3.5 or better GPA last spring while 85 student-athletes posted a 3.0 to 3.49 GPA. The Sun Belt Conference announced Thursday that the men's golf and women's track & field teams earned the league's Team Academic Award for having the highest team GPA for the 2013-14 academic year.
