Trojans Add Willie Piggott Jr. to 2026-27 Roster

TROY, Ala. - Troy men's basketball has added incoming freshman Willie Piggott Jr., to its 2026-27 roster, head coach Adam Howard announced Friday.Â
"Willie has a toughness and a competitive spirit to him that you don't always find in young guys at this stage of their careers," said Howard. "We believe Willie will be as versatile as anyone we have in our program; being able to play and defend multiple positions. Willie has an incredible work ethic along with tremendous upside, and we can't wait to get started working with him this initial summer." Â
Piggott comes to Troy following a season at Arizona Compass Prep, one of the top prep programs in the country. Piggott's squad earned the No. 1 seed in the Chipotle Nationals tournament before falling to Montverde Academy in the semifinal round.Â
Piggott played the majority of his high school career at Tampa Catholic High School. He was named the District 3A Player of the Year for the 2024–25 season while also earning All-County honors. The Tampa native eclipsed the 1,000-point mark at the conclusion of his junior season.Â
Piggott joins transfers Robert Davis Jr. and Jacoi Hutchinson, incoming freshmen Romain Valakou and Tucker Wadsworth, and returners Kerrington Kiel, Evan Griffin, Emmanuel Clarton, and Hikaru Awata on the 2026–27 roster.Â
