SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Troy women's tennis team opens its 2014 spring schedule this weekend with three matches away from home, including one against one of the nation's top 15 teams.
The Trojans will first travel to take on USC Upstate on Friday at 1 p.m. CST. Troy will then visit No. 13 Clemson on Saturday at 8 a.m. CST before playing a neutral court match against Charleston Southern on Saturday at 12 p.m. CST.
Troy is coming off a 2013 season that saw the Trojans go 17-6, including a 12-match winning streak. The Trojans were upset in the Sun Belt Championships quarterfinals by Middle Tennessee.

The Trojans also return sophomore Anja Cosovic who was 16-6 in dual-match singles play last season, mostly at No. 3.
Dorofeeva and Cosovic went 14-5 and 14-3, respectively, in dual-match doubles play last season, but each has lost their primary doubles partner.

Clemson, 16-8 a season ago, finished ranked 13th in the ITA National Team Rankings after an appearance in the NCAA Team Championships round of 16. Charleston Southern went 14-7 a year ago and lost in the finals of the Big South Conference Tournament.
