Trojans Travel to Samford Thursday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team, after 11 days rest, will return to action on Thursday at Samford. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. at the Samford Tennis Center.

Troy (1-5) last played on February 9 in a home match against Southern Miss, a match the Trojans lost 5-2. Troy has dropped five straight matches since winning a season-opening match at Presbyterian.

Despite the losing record for the team, one Trojan has been spectacular this spring as junior Sami Ghorbel has posted a 5-1 record in singles play. Ghorbel's lone loss came on opening weekend at No.42 UNC Wilmington.

Samford (3-2) comes into Thursday's match off of a narrow 4-3 loss last Friday at UAB. The Bulldogs three wins include a triumph over No.45 Alabama earlier this month.
