TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Troy women's tennis team opens its spring schedule at No.38 Florida State on Tuesday.
The match is set to begin at 12 p.m. CST at the Seminoles' Indoor Tennis Facility. Live stats will be available through Seminoles.com.
The Trojans come into Tuesday's season opener after a successful fall season, that included three separate tournaments, and a successful season last year that included a trip to the Sun Belt Championship quarterfinals.
Troy enters this season led by senior Karoline Grymel who is currently ranked ninth in the Southern Region singles rankings by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Grymel, an All-Sun Belt selection last season in singles and doubles play, is also ranked ninth in the ITA's Southern Region doubles rankings with partner Lyubov Dorofeeva.
The duo finished last season 14-4 in dual matches and will look to set the tone against a nationally-ranked Florida State squad.
The Seminoles come in ranked 38th in the nation by the ITA with four singles players ranked in the nation's top 100, including Daneika Borthwick (37) and Mia Vriens (48) who each rank in the top 50.
Full results will be on TroyTrojans.com following the completion of the match. After taking on Florida State, the Trojans travel to the Georgia Invitational this weekend. There they will compete with No.6 Georgia, No.58 Memphis and No.67 Kansas State.
