Men’s Tennis Travels to UAB

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team returns to the court Tuesday afternoon at UAB. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at George Ward Park in Birmingham, Ala.
It will be the first match for Troy since a 7-0 victory over Kennesaw State on Feb. 12. The Trojans swept all three doubles matches and won all six singles matches in straight sets in their victory over the Owls. The Trojans had a pair of matches scheduled this past Saturday against Jacksonville State and Alabama State, but inclement weather forced the cancelation of both matches.
Anas Rouchdi has won two of his last three matches at No. 1 singles and took No. 44 Florida State's No. 1 singles player to a super-tiebreaker in the season opener. Tadju Davies and Patrick Eichler also enter Tuesday's match with singles wins in two of their past three matches. In doubles, Jamie Eccleton and Mansingh Athare have won two of their past three matches on court two.
The Blazers feature the Southern region's No. 13 ranked singles player in David Zimmerman and the region's No. 8 ranked doubles team of Zimmerman and Daniel Moser.
Following Tuesday's match at UAB, Troy will be off until March 2 when it travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., for a match against Southern Miss.
