TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team continued play at the Samford Fall Invitational on Saturday, taking on the host Bulldogs in singles and UAB in doubles.

The Trojans went 2-4 against Samford in singles with Anas Rouchdi taking at victory at second singles, 7-6 (5), 6-4, and Mansingh Athare winning at fifth single, 6-4, 6-1. The action wasn't as lopsided as the 2-4 score indicated as three of the losses came in three sets while Troy's Andre Stabile was forced to retire early in the first set for the only other loss.

Troy took two of three doubles matches over UAB led by Stabile and Mansingh Athare who won 8-6 at first singles. Daniel Bustamante and Rouchdi picked up the other win in easy fashion, 8-1, at third doubles.

The Trojans continue play at the tournament tomorrow.
