The Trojans begin a four-game home stand by renewing an old rivalry on Tuesday night at Riddle-Pace Field. Troy hosts Jacksonville State with first pitch set for 6 pm.
Troy (31-13) host the Gamecocks as the opener in the four-game set that includes the final home conference series of the year with Louisiana-Lafayette this weekend.
Tuesday's game will be the second match-up between the two squads this season. Troy fell 7-6 in 10 innings the first match-up back on April 12 at Rudy Abbott Field.
In that game, Adam Bryant and Drew Prichard each drove in a pair of runs, but the Trojans gave up a walk-off hit in the bottom of the 10th as Tyson Workman was handed his first loss of the season.
The Trojans lead the all-time series 76-52. The first meeting was in 1962. Troy holds a 40-24 mark in series meetings played in Pike County.
Barry McKnight and Jerry Miller will bring you all the action from the diamond on WTBF 94.7 FM in Troy and online beginning at 5:45 p.m.
