TROY, Ala. — Troy baseball officially unveiled its 2027 season schedule on Thursday, Nov. 5. The slate features 58 regular-season games, highlighted by 10 Sun Belt Conference series and 15 opponents ranked inside the top 100 of the NCAA's final RPI last season.
The Trojans reached new heights in the 2026 season, finishing 39-32 overall with a 17-13 mark in Sun Belt play
Head Coach Skylar Meade and his staff retained several key pieces from their historic 2026 run, anchored by reigning Sun Belt Male Athlete of the Year and top MLB draft prospect Jimmy Janicki (ranked No. 5 overall by D1Baseball)
"The 2027 slate has the potential to be like 2026, and many previous seasons — incredibly tough," Meade said. "However, it is important that we continue to supplement our Sun Belt challenges with plenty of tough atmospheres, opponents, and opportunities along the journey. Thankfully for Trojan fans, we return to opening the season at RPF this year after a one-year hiatus. We can't wait to shatter ticket sales, tails in seats, and have Doubles Alley rocking every chance we get to play at home."
Troy's schedule features seven teams that reached the 2026 NCAA Tournament, highlighted by a pair of matchups against fellow College World Series participant Alabama
The non-conference slate begins at home with five straight games, starting with Mercer (Feb. 19–21) before midweek tilts against West Florida (Feb. 23) and The Citadel (Feb. 24)
Troy's Sun Belt schedule features five home series, kicking off against JMU (March 19–21), followed by hosting ULM (April 9–11), Southern Miss (April 23–25), Georgia Southern (April 30 – May 2), and Louisiana Tech (May 14–16)
The Sun Belt Conference Championship returns to Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala., for the seventh consecutive year and the 12th time in league history
