The Trojans face five consecutive ranked opponents to open the season

TROY, Ala. – The 65th-ranked Troy University men's tennis will continue a trend they began with the season-opening match … that is playing a ranked team on the road.
Troy (0-3) fell just three spots after dropping their two matches at the ITA Kick-off Classic in Gainesville against North Carolina State and UC-Santa Barbara. This week they will stay in state and take on two top 35 SEC power teams over the weekend.
The Trojans will travel to Tuscaloosa on Saturday morning to face 33rd-ranked Alabama on their home courts, before traveling east to face 33rd-ranked Auburn on the road Sunday afternoon. The Trojans have not defeated either team in school history, but look to turn around that trend this season.
Troy has put a young squad on the courts this season, with freshmen playing in three positions in singles play. The Trojans will look to two veterans to help turn things around as junior Branko Weber and senior Mario Rolemberg are entrenched in the starting five. Sophomore Anas Rouchdi returned to the lineup against UC-Santa Barbara after having to sit against North Carolina State due to a violation of team rules.
The matches get started at 10 am on Saturday morning, and live stats will be provided by RollTide.com.
