Trojans Hit Road to Face Ole Miss and Mississippi State this weekend

Troy will look to rebound from back-to-back losses last weekend at home

TROY, Ala. – The Troy University women's tennis team hits the road this weekend to face a pair Southeastern Conference powers in the state of Mississippi.
Troy (2-4) will look bounce back from a pair of home losses to Stetson and Charleston Southern last week when they take on nationally-ranked Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
The Trojans will be facing their second ranked team of the season when they face the Rebels on Saturday, losing their only other match against a ranked team to Clemson in the season-opener. The Trojans have never defeated 22nd-ranked Ole Miss in women's tennis action.
They will then hit the road to face Mississippi State, another team the Trojans have never defeated in school history to close out the weekend series.
Freshman Lyubuv Dorafeeva leads the Trojans in singles action as she has posted a 3-3 record this season, playing at number three. Meanwhile, sophomore Karoline Grymel and Leonie Guijt have each won a pair of matches at number one and number three singles, respectively.
In doubles action, the team of Karoline Grymel and Leonie Guijt have faced some tough competition at number one doubles but they have been able to walk away with a 4-2 record overall in those matches. Meanwhile, the team of freshmen Olivia Battye and Lyubov Dorafeeva have recorded a 3-2 record overall at number three doubles.
