Troy has played all nine of its matches on the road, seven against ranked opponents

ORLANDO, Fla. - Just one day after winning their first match of the season, the 70th-ranked Troy University men's tennis team fell to the University of Central Florida 5-2 at the UCF Tennis Complex.

Troy (1-8) has played all nine of its matches on the road this season, while Central Florida played at home for the first time since January 23.

Central Florida (3-3) swept through the doubles to earn the point and start the match out 1-0. At number one doubles spot, Central Florida's Blaze Schwartz and Joe Delinks defeated the Trojans' Mario Rolemberg and Branko Weber, 8-6. Meanwhile, at number two, the Troy team of Sami Ghorbel and Anas Rouchidi fell to Central Florida's Eugene Dolgovykh and Matthew Zachary, 8-4.

The finals doubles match, at number three, Central Florida's Claudio Ramano and Mitch Thames defeated Troy's Niklas Jonsson and Mansingh Athare (8-3).

Central Florida won four straight singles matches to take the victory.

The Trojans picked up a pair of victories in singles as Anas Rouchdi and Sami Ghorbel each won in the top half of the lineup. Rouchdi defeated Claudio Romano at number twol 6-4, 4-6, 10-7; while Ghorbel claimed a 7-6, 7-6 victory over Central Florida's Erik Brunskog.
