Trojans Fall to 10th-Ranked Texas A&M

Troy has opened the season with seven consecutive matches against ranked teams

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The 65th-ranked Troy University men's tennis team fell victim in their seventh consecutive match to a nationally-ranked team, falling to the 10th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies 7-0 in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.
Troy (0-7), playing their second match in three days, fell behind early as they dropped the doubles point to Texas A&M. The Aggies' team of Alexey Grigorov and Junior Ore defeated the Troy team of Mario Rolemberg and Branko Weber, 8-2. Meanwhile at number three, the team team of Alexis Klegou and John Lewis defeated the Trojan team of Niklas Jonsson and Mansingh Athare, 8-1.
In the other doubles match, the 32nd-ranked team of Colin Hoover and Alberto Bautista defeated Troy's team of Anas Rouchdi and Sami Ghorbel, 8-1.
In singles play, Branko Weber fell to 23rd-ranked Austin Krajicek; 6-2, 6-2; at number one singles play.
Meanwhile, the only other ranked player in the match, 106th-ranked Alexis Klegou of Texas A&M, defeated Troy's Anas Rouchdi 6-1, 6-2 at number two singles.
At number three singles, Alexey Grigorov defeated the Trojans' Sami Ghorbel 6-0, 6-1; while at number four, Niall Angus defeated Troy's Mario Rolemberg 6-2, 6-4.
At number five singles, Junior Ore defeated Troy's Jamie Eccelton 6-4, 6-4; while at number six, John Lewis defeated the Trojans' Mansingh Athare 6-1, 6-3.
