Trojan Spurs Looking for a Good Points Weekend

Ozark Region Standings
The Troy Rodeo team is off to a good 2011-2012 campaign, with the men's team sitting in fourth place, and the women in first place in the Ozark Region standings.
The early success for the women catapulted them to a comfortable lead in the standings, sitting 145 points ahead of second place University of Tennessee-Martin. While the women hold a comfortable lead, the men's team has its sights set on having a good point's weekend to help cut down the lead Missouri Valley College holds. The Vikings from Missouri are leading the Trojans by 1,030 points heading into this weekend's rodeo action in Murray, KY. The margin may seem to be impossible to overcome, but a good point's weekend from one cowboy could turn things around for these Trojan Spurs.
The Trojans will make the 450 mile trip Thursday to the campus of Murray State University, where they will take part in the Murray State Rodeo. The Racers hold individual point's leads in Saddle Bronc riding and Barrel Racing, while the Trojans have athletes scattered atop the standings in multiple events.
Action will begin Thursday night and will continue through Saturday.
