Womenโs Rodeo Sixth, Men Ninth at Northwest Mississippi CC

SENATOBIA, Miss. โ The Troy women's rodeo team finished sixth, while the Trojan men placed ninth at the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rodeo this past weekend.
Kelsey Kennemer locked up 50 points for the Trojan women in goat tying after a solid opening run time of 7.5 seconds to go along with a run of 9.7 seconds during the second round. Kassadra Smith also scored in goat tying as her first round run of 7.8 seconds earned the Trojans 15 points. Morgan Sellers finished fifth in barrel racing after a time of 14.41 second in the first run to score 50 points.
The women hold a 350 point lead over Southern Arkansas at the top of the Ozark Region standings with one rodeo remaining in the season -- Tennessee-Martin this weekend.
All 35 of the men's points came on Nelson Wyatt's ride during steer wrestling as he time of 7.2 seconds in the run was good for third place.
