Chase Stigall enters his first season with the Trojans as video coordinator.
Stigall was a Butler standout from 2008 to 2013 under now-Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens. He played on both of Butler’s teams that advanced to the NCAA Championship game, and was also a member on three Horizon League Championship teams.
During the 2010-11 season, Stigall played in 38 games and started 13 as Butler made their second-straight Final Four appearance. He scored nine points against UConn in Butler’s 53-41 loss in the national championship game.
Off the court, Stigall graduated from Butler in May 2013 with a degree in physical education and health with a minor in special education. Stigall most recently was an assistant coach at Brebuef Jesuit Prep School in Indianapolis, Ind.
Originally from New Castle, Ind., Stigall played on a state championship team at Chrysler High in 2006-7. Following his senior season, Stigall was named to the Indiana All-Star team for the annual Indiana-Kentucky summer all-star series. Chrysler High is also the alma mater of former Indiana star and current UCLA basketball head coach Steve Alford.
