2006: In his first season as a regular cover corner, recorded 66 tackles on the year, including 56 solo stops, while starting all 13 games...Posted a career-high 11 tackles while covering one of the top receivers in the country against Rice in the New Orleans Bowl...Was credited with one tackle for loss during the season, had two forced fumbles, two quarterback hurries and seven pass breakups...His only interception of the year was a game-saver against Florida Atlantic...Saw limited action on offense as a receiver, but did not catch a pass...Continued in his role as one of the most dangerous kick and punt return men in college football...Finished the season with 27 kickoff returns for 634 yards, and average of 23.5 yards per return...Returned 28 punts for 314 yards and one touchdown, a 48-yard effort against Florida International...Was a second team All-Sun Belt selection and was named Sun Belt Special Teams Player of the Week twice, for his performances against Louisiana Monroe and Florida International.

Was named Sun Belt Special Teams Player of the Week three times and earned Troy’s Special Teams award four times ... Finished the year with 619 yards on just 24 kickoff returns ... Added 417 yards on 33 punt returns ... Was credited with 30 tackles on defense, including 26 solo stops ... Was credited with one sack, a fumble recovery and five pass breakups ...
