2006: Hit .343 in 51 games ... Started 40 games at first base and DH respectfully ... Has started 134 games during his career at Troy ... Drove in six runs in the Memphis series, including a pair on his fifth consecutive hit with the bases loaded ... Started his career hitless in 18 at bats with the bases loaded ... Broke out of the slump against UAB (2/26) with two hits with the bases loaded, including the game-winner in the ninth inning ... Suffered a pulled hamstring on a stretch at first base on 3/14 ... Had a nine-game hitting streak snapped when he came out after suffering the hamstring injury ... From 2/26 through 3/12 drove in 16 runs in seven games ... Was charged with his only error of the season at Alabama (3/22) ... Re-injured his hamstring on the play, reaching for a ground ball, and had to leave the game ... 2005: Started 55 games at first base for the Trojans and spent most of the season batting third in the lineup ... Struggled at the plate through the middle and end of the season as a result of several nagging injuries ... Suffered a broken little toe on his left-foot when he was stepped on at FAU ... Was hit on the right leg in three consecutive games in early May, leaving both his knee and ankle swollen ... Opened the season with a four-game hit streak that included multiple hits in three of the four games ... Hit safely in 21 of the first 24 games of the year and had a 10-game hit streak from 4/15 through 5/1 ... Had five hits, including a pair of homers, and seven RBI in the win over Alabama A&M ... Had triples in three of the first four games of the year, but did not have another the rest of the season ... Has hit just one home run in the last 20 games ... Had 20 multiple-hit games and 13 multiple-RBI games for the season ... Hit just .264 against A-Sun competition ... Hit .300 or better with runners on, runners in scoring position, and with two outs ... In Atlantic Sun Conference play, batted .230 with a slugging percentage of .338 ... Belted his first home run against Alabama State on March 16, when he went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored ... His second home run came on March 23 against Middle Tennessee State ... On May 14 against Jacksonville, he went 4-for-5, hit his third home run with three RBI and scored a run.
High School: Played four seasons for coach John Poitevint at Northview High School in Dothan ... Led the Cougars to a 14-7 record as a senior, hitting .421 with six home runs and 33 RBI and going 2-1 on the mound with a 0.70 ERA and 24 strikeouts ... Was named to the Dothan Eagle's Super 12 team following his senior season ... Also played in the AHSAA East-West All-Star Game in the summer of 2003.
