2007: Battled through an injury-plagued season to play in 10 games, starting three ... Was credited with 15 tackles on the year, including nine solo stops ... Had a season-high five tackles in the win over FIU ... Had a fumble recovery in the game at Georgia ... Was credited with a sack, for an 11-yard loss, in the season-opener at Arkansas ... Also had a tackle for loss of eight yards at Florida and an assist on a TFL at FIU ... Did not play against ULM or WKU because of hamstring problems.
PRIOR TO TROY: Was named first team All-America and first team All-Conference during his sophomore season. He recorded 120 tackles, three sacks, 12 tackles for a loss while causing five fumbles and leading his Butler County Community College squad to back-to-back conference championships. He also recovered two fumbles to go along with two interceptions in 2006, including one which he returned for a touchdown.

Is married to the former Denishia Mikeal Davis and has two children – Jayda Lashay McDowell (2) and Sha-mya Mikeal McDowell (2) ... Is majoring in Criminal Justice.
