PREP: Finished his high school career as the No. 5 all-time passer in AHSAA history with 8,062 total yards ... Became only the third QB in state history to throw for 5,000 yards and rush for 2,000 yards in a career ... Finished 17th in career TD passes (53) in the state ... Senio year was highlighted by 2,200 yards passing, a school record, and 20 TD passes, also a school record, along with 402 yards rushing and another four touchdown despite sitting out more than 11 quarters due to large leads ... He played most of the season with a broken throwing hand, after breaking a bone in the right hand during the second series of the second ball game of the year ... Earned All-County, All-Metro and All-Region honors ... Was a three-time All-County player, three-time All-Region, twice All-Metro and was twice named team MVP.
