Men’s Tennis Starts Conference Play With Victory over Georgia State

Atlanta, Ga. - Troy men's tennis opened conference play with a 4-0 victory against Georgia State Saturday morning at the GSU Tennis Complex.

To start off the morning, Troy (11-4) secured the doubles point with junior Luciano Alcocer and freshman Ryusei Miyazato winning on Court 2, 6-3, as sophomore Thiago Drozdowski and freshman Stephan Tavares Noale won on Court 1, 6-4.

The Trojans then went on to singles play where Alcocer and senior Yeray Andres Pastor claimed their courts first with straight sets wins. To end the overall match and give Troy the win, Noale earned the clincher.

Continuing the weekend, the Trojans will stay in Georgia to take on Augusta Sunday morning at the Newman Tennis Center. The match will start at 9:30 a.m.
