Men’s Tennis Defeats Augusta 4-0

Augusta, Ga. - After earning the advantage point, Troy men's tennis claimed another win against Augusta at the Newman Tennis Center Sunday morning.
Junior Luciano Alcocer and freshman Ryusei Miyazato won on Court 2, 6-2, while sophomore Thiago Drozdowski and freshman Stephan Tavares Noale won on Court 1, 6-1, to secure the doubles point for Troy (12-4).
By claiming these courts, Alcocer and Miyazato are now 8-1 this season in doubles, with Drozdowski and Noale being 8-2.
As the singles play went on, senior Yeray Andres Pastor, junior Louis Boilevin and Noale clinched their courts through straight sets wins, with Boilevin having the clincher to end the match.
After these victories, Noale is 8-1 this season in singles, as Andres Pastor is 5-5 and Boilevin is 4-2.
The Trojans have a few days to prepare for their next competition on Thursday, where they will take on Mercer at the Lunsford Tennis Complex at 10:30 a.m.
Troy is 8-0 at home and looks to continue this run in its next matchup.
