Men’s Tennis Travels to Georgia For Weekend Matchups

TROY, Ala. - Troy men's tennis prepares for its trip to Georgia to take on Georgia State Saturday morning at the Sharon Lester Tennis Center and Augusta Sunday morning at the Newman Tennis Center.

Troy's (10-4) going into its matchup against Georgia State with a 7-0 victory against Mississippi Gulf Coast, where sophomore Thiago Drozdowski and freshman Stephan Tavares Noale won on Court 1, 6-3, and sophomores Henrique de Brito and Hiiro Sakamoto won on Court 3, 6-2, before junior Luciano Alcocer and freshman Ryusei Miyazato won on Court 2, 6-3.

The Trojans then continued dominating the singles matches, ending all courts in straight sets wins.

This match against the Panthers will also start the Trojans' first conference match of the season, with their matchup against Augusta following afterwards on Sunday. The last time Troy went against Augusta was back in the spring of 2024, when Troy defeated Augusta 6-1.

Saturday's match is set for 9 a.m., while Sunday's match starts at 9:30 a.m.
