TROY, Ala. – Troy men's tennis will finish its 2026 regular fall season run at the UTR College Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 29, in Rome, Ga., at the Rome Tennis Complex. The tournament will last until Sunday, Nov. 1.
Six Trojans are set to compete: Ausias Martin Melo, Henrique de Brito, Louis Boilevin, Lenny Galley, Ryusei Miyazato, and Til Zimmermann.
"It's going to be a great opportunity to go play the UTR College Invitational because it's going to be played in Rome, Georgia, which is where we play our conference tournament," head coach Rolando Vargas said. "They're all excited to play another full event. There's going to be several activities, several tournaments happening at the same time, so there's going to be a lot of tennis. There's going to be a lot of people watching, so that's going to make it even more competitive, and I'm really excited to go there."
The UTR College Invitational provides playing opportunities for juniors and collegiate players, advancing UTR Sports' mission of holding more competition student-athletes. While the tournament will last for four days, day two will begin the 3rd Annual UTR Sports NAIA Individual National Championships and the 2nd Annual NJCAA Singles Individual National Championship presented by UTR Sports.
