Trojans Aim to Bounce Back at Georgia State

TROY, Ala. – Troy continues Sun Belt action on Wednesday, heading east for a one-off road game at Georgia State. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT, streaming on ESPN+ and available on the Troy Sports Media Network.
Troy (15-8, 8-3) returns to the court following its first string of back-to-back Sun Belt losses in over a year. The Trojans fell to James Madison on Thursday night before dropping a Saturday afternoon contest to App State.
Theo Seng scored 13 points Saturday; the lone Trojan to reach double figures. Seng has reached the 10-point mark in three of his last four games, including a career-high-tying 24-point performance in Troy's win over Old Dominion on Jan. 21.
Georgia State (9–14, 6–5) returns to its home gym following a two-game road swing last week. The Panthers fell to Louisiana, 82–72, on Thursday before suffering a two-point loss at South Alabama, 69–67. Georgia State has defended its home court well this season, posting a 6–2 record at home.
Troy holds a 30-24 all-time record against Georgia State.

Troy and Georgia State will meet for the 55th time Wednesday, the most meetings Troy has had against a current Sun Belt opponent. The first meeting between the two programs came during the 1951–52 season.

Scouting Georgia State
Georgia State comes into Saturday's game on a two-game skid, dropping road contests to Louisiana and South Alabama last week. Jelani Hamilton leads the Panthers in scoring this season, averaging 18.6 points per game. Georgia State has excelled from the free throw line, shooting a Sun Belt-leading 79.3% from the charity stripe. The Panthers shoot on average 21.2 free throws per game, which is seventh in the conference.
