Men's Tennis Battles in Loss to Miami

Coral Gables, Fla. - Troy men's tennis wrapped up its opening week on Wednesday morning, falling to Miami 4-0.
Due to weather, the order of play was adjusted, with singles matches being played first.
Troy (0-2) fought early on as freshman Ryusei Miyazato took games on Court 3. Miyazato dropped the first set but rallied to take the second, 6-4. Miami clinched the match prior to the completion of the match, resulting in an unfinished result for Miyazato.
A similar situation took place on Court 5, as Stephan Tavares Noale also won the second set, 6-4 to even the match at a set apiece. Noale was trailing in the third frame, 2-0 as Miami clinched the match.
Yeray Andres Pastor dropped his match on Court 1 to fall NCAA Championship qualifier Antonio Prat, 6-1, 6-2.
The Trojans will open its home schedule on Friday, Jan. 23, hosting Auburn University at Montgomery for a doubleheader. Matches are set to take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
