9/10/2025 2:23:00 PM | Soccer
TROY, Ala. - Troy soccer is back in action after a ten-day break on Thursday as the Trojans travel to DeLand, Fla., for their final non-conference match against Stetson.
The Trojans return to the field after Sunday's game against Mississippi Valley State was canceled and are coming off a 2-1 win over Jacksonville on August 31, a game in which Jiselle Daniels extended her goal-scoring streak to five games, the longest by a Trojan since 2008. Daniels' seven goals this season lead the Sun Belt and are tied for fourth nationally.
Freshman Isabella Hartofelis recorded her first career assist in the win over the Dolphins, delivering a strike up the field for Daniels to knock into the net. The midfielder leads Troy with 540 minutes, having played the full 90 minutes in all six matches.
Taylor Richards, a transfer from Auburn, has been stellar in net for the Trojans. Troy is 4-1-0 with Richards in goal, as the junior boasts a Sun Belt-best 0.80 goals against average while ranking fourth in save percentage (.778).
Stetson enters the matchup with a 3-4 record and is coming off a 3-0 loss at South Florida on Sunday. The Hatters' eight goals this season have all come from different players, while midfielder Payton Quinones leads the team with seven shots on goal. Clare Boesel has been the team's top goalkeeper with a 1.42 goals against average, though Riley Tarvin (5.00 GAA) has started each of the previous two matches.
