TROY, Ala. – Troy's offense continued its hot streak on Sunday afternoon, defeating Spring Hill 3-0 at the Troy Soccer Complex.
The Trojans (3-1-0) dominated from start to finish, firing 22 shots and earning eight second-half corner kicks while holding the Badgers to just four shots. Goalkeeper Taylor Richards picked up her second shutout of the season as the Troy back line held Spring Hill without a shot on target on four shots.
Bowling Green transfer Alaina Uncapher opened the scoring in the 26th minute, slotting home her first goal in the Cardinal & White off assists from freshmen Embla Gunnarsdóttir and Kelsey Barrett, who both recorded their first collegiate assists.
The Trojans doubled their advantage in the 63rd minute when Barrett found the back of the net for her first career goal after deflecting a Spring Hill pass off her head. Jiselle Daniels capped the scoring 10 minutes later with her Sun Belt-best fifth goal of the year, heading in a corner kick by the left-footed Brooke Slater.

Head Coach Stuart Gore on the match…
"Friday to Sunday games are tough. We kinda looked a bit hungover in the first half, and then in the second half, we started to play into it a bit more. Overall, a win is a win."
Gore On Kelsey Barrett…
"The first goal was a beautiful bit of football with the movement, Kelsey cutting in and Embla making an overlapping run for Alaina. Kelsey's goal is why we recruited her. She has this ability where the ball is velcroed to her foot. She took it off her face, she couldn't close her jaw at the end of it, and to ride that and get the shot away was fantastic."
Jiselle Daniels on her hot start to the season…
"I'm just a goal scorer, I would say. Not every game you're going to get a goal, but that is the goal. If you can get more than one, even better. I'm just looking forward to putting some more in, and getting my team to put some more in."
