BRYAN, Texas – Troy fired its best round of the week and held its position on the leaderboard following Tuesday's final round of The "Mo" Morial, hosted by Texas A&M at The Traditions Club. Troy finished in eighth place as a squad, while Victoria Stutts paced the Trojans in a tie for 25^th.

Stutts climbed three spots into her final position after shooting a 77 on Tuesday, with three birdies in the round, while Alyssa Mercado made Troy's biggest jump as she climbed eight spots into a tie for 30^th place after a round of 76, with a pair of birdies.

Scores were high across the board for the week, with No. 20 Texas A&M claiming the title at 16-over, followed by Northern Colorado in second at 54-over. Troy finished the week in eighth place at 83-over par in the field of 16 teams. Golfers played to an average of 80.62 for the tournament on the par-72 course.

Troy held its own on the par 3 holes throughout the week, finishing with a 3.25 scoring average, second only to Texas A&M, while the Trojans tied for fourth in the field with 27 birdies. Individually, Laura Fangmeyer's seven birdies tied for the eighth most, while Mercado and Stutts tied for 14^th with six birdies.

Fangmeyer tied Mercado for 30^th place and Katelynn Altese tied for 52^nd place after the pair shot 81 on Tuesday, while Manya Saini moved up two spots into 49^th place after a 78.

Troy heads to Point Clear, Ala., and the Lakewood Club for the Sun Belt Championship on April 14-16.
