No. 15 Troy Set for Tuesday Matchup at Alabama State

TROY, Ala. - No. 15 Troy hits the road on Tuesday with a quick trip up Highway 231 to play Alabama State in Montgomery, Ala.
The Trojans are coming off a 2-1 series victory over ULM this week. Troy took Thursday's series opener 9-3 before a complete game by Noah Edders propelled them to an 11-1 run-rule victory over the Warhawks on Friday. The series win over ULM was Troy's tenth consecutive to start the season, as the Trojans are one of three programs in college baseball alongside Texas and Clemson who have not lost a series. this year.
Second baseman Sean Darnell had a productive weekend at the plate, recording two hits in each game and going 6-for-12 with a pair of doubles and five RBIs. First baseman Blake Cavill shot up to fifth nationally in walks (44) with a five-walk weekend, and the Australian senior also crushed his sixth home run of the season in Sunday's series finale.
Senior right-hander Grayson Stewart will make his first start of the season when the Trojans take the field in Montgomery. Stewart has been one of the Trojans' most-trusted bullpen options, making 12 relief appearances with a 2.53 ERA in 21.1 innings pitched. He's holding opponents to a .210 batting average and has allowed just four walks on the year.Â
