Troy Kicks off Conference Play Against Coastal Carolina

TROY, Ala. – Riding a six-game win streak, the Troy softball team welcomes Coastal Carolina – which is on an eight-game win streak – to the Troy Softball Complex to start Sun Belt Conference play.
The Trojans (18-9) are coming off sweeps of UMass and Alabama A&M and look to slow down the Chanticleers (22-4), who are coming off a midweek win over No. 9 South Carolina.
Kayden Dunn has at least one hit and one RBI in six of the last seven games – she's hit four home runs during that span.

On Wednesday, Troy shutout Alabama A&M in both games of the midweek doubleheader. The Trojans earned 8-0 and 9-0 wins over the Bulldogs, using eight combined first inning runs to take commanding leads.
Over both games, Taylor McKinney went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two stolen bases, scoring four runs.
In game two, Reaghan Oney took over. The true freshman went 2-for-3 with five RBIs, crushing a three-run homer and tacking on a two-RBI triple. Oney was the first Trojan to have five RBIs in a game since Audra Thompson on May 9, 2024, against Coastal Carolina.
