Men’s Tennis Falls to North Alabama

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team struggled to find its groove on Saturday morning, falling to North Alabama 4-1 at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.

Troy (5-4) got off to a strong start in doubles with Vicente Arbelaez and Noah Martens picking up a 6-3 in the No. 1 spot. The Trojans clinched the early 1-0 lead with a 6-4 win in the No. 3 spot by Hiiro Sakamoto and Luciano Alcocer. The other match went unfinished with Troy leading 5-4.

In singles, North Alabama won in the No. 4, 6, 1 and 3 spots to clinch the match victory by taking 4-0 lead. The Trojans had no luck in singles action, and the remaining two matches went unfinished, with Troy trailing in both.

The Trojans are back in action next Saturday on the road at Alcorn State. First serve is set for 10 a.m., with live stats available on TroyTrojans.com.
