TROY, Ala. – Troy Athletics announced Monday that both the 2-0 Troy basketball programs will host their respective Letterwinners Day events in January. The men's team will welcome former players Jan. 17 against Arkansas State, while the women's team will do so Jan. 24 against Georgia State.
Letterwinners Day offers up to four complimentary tickets for the respective letterwinners of each program. To take advantage of this special offer, Troy Athletics requests that all members RSVP using the attached forms. Men's basketball letterwinners are also able to RSVP to Macy Wiederin via email at mwiederin@troy.edu, and women's basketball letters can do the same with Calib Adams at cadams236825@troy.edu – both can call via phone at 770-630-5650.
All former athletes are also invited to sign the Letterwinners Wall at Trojan Arena. There will also be an exclusive opportunity to mingle and chat with other former Trojans in Trojan Terrace, where complimentary refreshments will be available.
"Having our Letterwinners return to support us at the Georgia State game would mean so much to us," head women's basketball coach Chanda Rigby said. "Everything we are striving to accomplish was built on their shoulders. It's always advantageous for our players to interact with the great Trojans who laid our foundation."
Troy women's basketball is celebrating 50 years as a program this season, with four conference championships, 26 1,000-point scorers and two historic WNIT runs that include the 2024-25 runner-up finish.
Meanwhile, the men's program is the most recent Sun Belt Conference Tournament and Regular Season Champion. Dating back to its inaugural season in 1950-51, the men's program boasts three tournament titles and 12 regular-season titles to its name.
"We are very thankful to all of the Troy Trojans who have laid the foundation for our basketball program," head men's basketball coach Scott Cross said. "We know that we wouldn't be where we are today, playing in beautiful Trojan Arena and competing for SBC championships without the contributions of so many who came before us. Thank you for all your hard work. We hope to see you in Trojan Arena on Jan. 17 as we take on Arkansas State."
Fans wishing to purchase tickets for this game may do so in person by visiting the Troy Ticket Office, online via TroyTrojans.com/Tickets, or by calling the ticket office at 334-670-6341.
