Troy Soccer Falls to Georgia State in Atlanta

ATLANTA - The Troy soccer team fell 2-0 to Georgia State at the GSU Soccer Complex on Sunday evening.
While Troy (5-6-4, 0-4-3 SBC) held Georgia State to ten shots, the fewest the Trojans have allowed in a conference game this season (8-5-2, 4-2-1 SBC), the Panthers netted the match's only two goals in the first 17 minutes of action.
Reese Gordon struck first for the Panthers in the tenth minute, while Emily Glenn followed with GSU's second goal seven minutes later. Troy freshman Keely Cash, making her first career start, made six saves on the evening for the Trojans.
Offensively, Troy attempted nine shots, but couldn't connect on its four shots on target. Danielle Trovato led the team with two shots and one shot on goal, while Hailey Phillips, Hayden Barnett and Embla Gunnarsdottir each registered one shot on goal.
