Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 11 Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Troy mens tennis team struggled to get anything going against No. 11 Mississippi State, as it fell 7-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Rula Tennis Pavilion in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
Mississippi State (4-0) won the doubles points with a pair of 6-1 wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to take the early 1-0 lead over Troy (1-3).
In singles, the Bulldogs won all six courts in straight sets. Yeray Andres Pastor had the most success for Troy, winning three games in both of his singles sets.
Troy is back in action on Friday afternoon with a pair of matches against Auburn-Montgomery. First serves are set for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
