Track and Field Heads to the 128th Penn Relays

TROY, Ala. – The Troy track and field program wraps up its regular season calendar as it heads to Philadelphia for the 128th Penn Relays this Thursday through Saturday at Franklin Field, the country's oldest college stadium.
The three-day meet will see the Trojans compete against a plethora of schools from the NCAA level all the way through NAIA schools and junior colleges. Twenty-four D-I conferences will be represented. Fellow Sun Belt competitors James Madison and Old Dominion will also be competing in the events.

Last Time Out
The Trojans are coming off a shortened Saturday at Auburn's Tiger Track Classic, as nearly half of the running events were canceled due to inclement weather. The Trojans got first-place finishes from Cole Stewart in the javelin and Haruki Sakai in the long jump.
Morgan Reese (hammer), Jack Anderson (high jump), Kyra Dalluge (400m) and Alejandra Gutierrez Fuente (long jump) all set personal records in the meet.
The Penn Relays
In 2023, Troy won the collegiate men's high jump event, as Jaggerd Moore hit a mark of 2.02m. Biniosa Ezukuse placed third in the women's shot put with a mark of 14.45m. In 2022, the Trojans men's 4x100 meter relay placed second in the event, just .04 seconds off first place.
This week, the Trojans have 29 entries in the meet. Reese kicks things off for the Trojans in the men's hammer at 4 p.m. CT. Also competing on Thursday are Jasai Taylor in the men's 400m hurdles and Cadi Rowe in the women's 10,000m.
The rest of the Trojans will compete on Friday and Saturday, with Friday being the most intense day with 20 entries.
On Saturday, Troy will wrap things up with ten athletes competing in their respective events.
